Nothing about your sleep leaves your phone or browser. Everything you log — nights, factors, notes, sound mixes, your chronotype and schedule — is stored only on your device (in local storage / IndexedDB). We operate no server that receives it, so we cannot see it, back it up, or hand it to anyone.
Quitude ships with no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that profile you. We don't build an advertising ID, we don't fingerprint you, and there are no ad networks in the app.
Quitude Plus is optional. Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play (managed via RevenueCat). We never see or store your card number — the app store handles the transaction and simply tells us whether your Plus entitlement is active.
Our billing promises, in plain terms:
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, per the app store's standard terms. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no renewal.
If we offer opt-in sync in the future, it will be exactly that — opt-in. The free, local-only experience will always remain available, and we will describe precisely what is synced before you enable it.
Quitude is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
If you connect Apple Health, Quitude reads only sleep analysis, resting heart rate and heart-rate variability, and it never writes anything back. That data is used solely to show your own sleep insights inside the app. It stays on your device, is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties. Revoke access anytime in Apple's Health app under Sharing → Apps, or disconnect in Quitude's Settings.
Quitude is a self-help tool based on CBT-I, the treatment the American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends first for chronic insomnia. Quitude delivers that published protocol, but the app itself has not been clinically validated, it does not diagnose any condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a clinician. Phone-based sleep estimates are not clinical-grade and the app says so. Sleep restriction can increase daytime sleepiness — see the safety guidance in the app and in our Terms. Talk to a clinician about persistent sleep problems.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and surface the change in the app. Because we hold none of your data, changes can never retroactively expose anything you've already logged.
